VADODARA: A deputy executive engineer of the Water Supply Board in Dahod has been booked in a disproportionate asset case.
A team from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a raid at the residence of Chagan Hathila after Godhra-resident Idris Patel filed a complaint against him alleging illegal sources of income.
Between January 1, 1999 and March 31, 2011, Hathila had allegedly amassed Rs 30.40 lakh.

According to police, Hathila had an income of Rs 38.34 lakh through legal sources. However, his expenditure and investments amounted to Rs 68.75 lakh. The police, who have recovered a car from his residence, are carrying out further investigations to find out other sources of Hathila's income.
Hathila has been booked under sections 13 (1) I and 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1998.
