Author Scotty Sanders announces the launch of a poster series that corresponds with his fantasy fiction novel "Quest of the Keys." There will also be an accompanying contest through the "Quest of the Keys" Facebook page.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 03, 2015

Author Scotty Sanders is excited to announce the launch of the poster series that corresponds with "Quest of the Keys." The first poster was released on March 2, and the remaining seven posters will be released periodically in the coming months, through October. The posters are intended to generate interest in the book and to allow readers to become more acquainted with the characters.

A contest will also be run through the book's Facebook page. The poster contest will be launched on the first Monday of each month and will run for one week. One winner will be chosen per month and will receive an autographed printed poster, a "Quest of the Keys" audiobook, an autographed copy of the print book, and digital images of the poster.

Each of the eight posters feature one of the principal characters in "Quest of the Keys," which is a book geared toward middle and high school aged students. The book is currently being used as English language arts curriculum in public and private schools throughout the U.S. and abroad.

"We want to help the fans of Quest of the Keys get to know the characters from the book better through this poster series," said author Scotty Sanders, who also specializes in leadership development training. "Teachers will especially appreciate the availability of additional resource materials to use in the classroom."

The first poster in the series features the protagonist Decklen, a young man who faces a tough journey ahead of him.

The poster series was produced by Cheryl Wicker of Premier1 Studio who cast professional actors to portray the characters: Major Dodge, Benjamin Dane, Robert Johnson and David R. Robbins of Texas; Adam Joaquin Gonzalez of New Mexico; and Rachel Whittle of Louisiana. In addition, the author's granddaughter, Abby Grace LoBello and the co-author, Kevin Lynam joined the poster cast. The actors were photographed by Brandon Jennings Photography of Plano, TX and the images were then digitally enhanced by Paul Eckhardt of Bricklight Studios.

Lynam, who is also the creative director for the poster project, was recruited for the Octavius portrait when the casting call did not produce an appropriate character fit. "Octavius, who is actually based on myself, is an important character because he provides leadership to the city and to Decklen," explained Sanders. "When we exhausted prospects during casting, I reached out to Kevin, who is not an actor, but has the right face and even has the grey hair and beard naturally!"

Printed versions of the posters will be available for purchase on the "Quest of the Keys" website, questofthekeys.com, as the posters are released. Digital versions will also be made available for free download.
