Junagadh seeks Narsinh Mehta University, delegation to meet CM

All party delegation from Junagadh will travel to capital Gandhinagar to meet Gujarat Chief Minister on March 10 to demand new university for Junagadh from next academic year.

According to Mayor Jitubhai Hirpara and Saurashtra University Syndicate member Chandreshbhai Herma who are key person behind the idea of proposed Narsinh Mehta University in Junagadh, as many as 160 colleges of Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli and Porbandar districts will be included in new university. They said, at present they are making list of big buildings in Junagadh that are vacant. One of such buildings can be used for proposed university to start with.

It should be mentioned that the works for Rs. 800 crore medical college in Junagadh is in final stage and it is all possible that seats shall be allotted in next academic year.
