KCR lays foundation for power plant in Adilabad

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao today laid the foundation stone for the third unit of the power plant of Singareni Collieries Company Limited at Pegadpally village of Jaipur mandal in the coal belt of Adilabad District.

He unveiled a plaque to mark the occasion close to the two units (600 MW X 2) that are already under construction by the SCCL. The third unit will also be with an installed capacity of 600 MW.

Mr. Rao arrived here by a helicopter along with two Ministers from the district Mr. A. Indrakaran Reddy and Mr. Jogu Ramanna, an hour behind schedule. After the ceremony, he left for the guest house of the company for a meeting with its officials.
