While the service on ocean state forecast will be started for the Chennai-Port Blair and Kolkata-Port Blair routes, it will later be extended to other standard routes in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Information will be available to passenger ships, cargo ships, oil tankers, navy and coast guard vessels.
