Good response to bodybuilding meet

Over a hundred body builders enthusiastically participated in the inaugural DRM Cup bodybuilding meet, organised by the East Coast Railway Sports Association, Waltair, at the Shubham indoor sports complex of ECoRSA here late on Sunday. The meet was opened by DRM of Waltair and president of ECoRS Anil Kumar in the afternoon and concluded late in the evening.

Competitions were held in nine weight categories and also for physically challenged persons. Winner of the 60-65 kg category Sk. Rahim was adjudged overall champion and received the Mr. DRM title. G. Srinivas, winner of the 80-85 kg category, was declared Most Muscular Man. Mr. Anil Kumar gave away the prizes during the valedictory function. Additional DRM and vice-president of ECorSA M.L. Meena, Senior DCM and Sports Officer M. Yelvender Yadav, Senior DEN (coordination) Victor Joseph, DEN (estate) and Assistant Sports Officer Ch. Vishnu Murthy; ADME and Additional Sports Officer K. K. Khadanga, Branch Officers, general secretary of ECoRSA, Waltair B. Appanna Reddy, advisor K.M.V.S. Nageswar Rao, assistant general secretaries R. Srinivasa and A.N.V.P. Murthy, secretary (bodybuilding) K.V. Ramanachari, and Joga Kiran were present.

Congratulated

Superintendent of Police Koya Praveen congratulated Srinivasa Rao who was adjudged Most Muscular in the meet. Srinivasa Rao is a constable of the rural police. Reserve Inspector of District Armed Reserve I. Mohan Kumar was also present.
