In view of the SSLC and other examinations, Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. (Bescom) should ensure proper supply of power during evenings and mornings so that students are not put to hardship, Davangere Taluk Panchayat vice-president H.R. Nagaraj has said.
Speaking at a review meeting here on Saturday, he said there was load-shedding from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., which had put the students to inconvenience.
He instructed officials to make a list of villages affected by drinking water scarcity and take steps to solve them.
Taluk Panchayat president Kariyamma informed the meeting that Huvinmadu and Matti villages in the taluk suffer from scarcity of veterinary doctors. In response, executive officer S.L. Prabhudev instructed the veterinary doctors of other villages to stay in these villages at least for two days in a week.
