Modi must fulfil promise made to State: Ganta

Minister for HRD and Education Ganta Srinivas Rao on Monday appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfil his poll promises made to the State for building a world class Capital and save the State from extreme financial crisis.

Talking to media, Mr. Rao said that Mr. Modi had repeatedly promised that the Centre would extend all help in providing funds required for building up of the new Capital . “It is now time for the Centre to act on its promises,” he said. “The allocations to the State under 14th Finance Commission in both the Railway and Union Budgets were not on the expected lines.

The funding of just Rs.100 crore to the Polavaram project was also equally disturbing, he said.
