Dushyant Chaturvedi’s bail extended till March 5

Nagpur: The district court has extended till March 5 the ad-interim bail of Dushyant Chaturvedi, who is accused of firing in the air at Poonam Chambers after an argument with a guard over parking on February 21.
Chaturvedi, son of former Congress minister Satish Chaturvedi, fired a round in the air after an argument with the security guard, who had asked him to park at another spot in Poonam Chambers.
Chaturvedi had an argument with the guard and fired a round at 3am to threaten the guard.
The complaint was filed by the security guard, CHOKS Colony resident Sameer Chakraborty, at Sadar police station. Chaturvedi has been booked under the Arms Act and other relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.
He was absconding for two days and was granted ad-interim bail before his arrest on February 23. The bail was granted till March 2.
Sadar police have submitted its investigation in written to JMFC P S Tarare. Public prosecutor Rajendra Mendhe said the court extended the bail till March 5 and adjourned the hearing. The court has decided to hear arguments from both sides on March 5.
PI Rashid Bagvan said the court has gone through their written submission of investigation and concluded that they will listen to the public prosecutor on March 5.
