Shwetha Menon to do a cameo
Director Vishwanathan’s upcoming film Appavum Veenjum is already in the news for bringing South Indian star Ramya Krishnan back to Mollywood after a break. Now, we hear that actress Shwetha Menon has also been roped in for the project. She plays a doctor in the film directed by Out of Syllabus fame Vishwanathan.
When we contacted Shwetha, she said, “Yes, I play a guest role of a doctor in the film.
I decided to join the project as it has many of my friends, including the director, as crew members. It was fun working with all of them.” The film has Pratap Pothen and Sunny Wayne in lead roles. While Ragini Nandwani was signed to play the female lead, the actress backed off from the project recently after she fell ill.
Shwetha’s latest release in Mollywood is Rakesh Gopan’s 100 Degree Celsius. She has signed up Akkaldamayile Pennu directed by debutant Jayaram Kailash, and Rudrasimhasanam by Shibu Gangadharan. Her Tamil film Thunai Mudalvar by R Vivekanandhan, in which she is cast opposite Bhagyaraj, will hit the screens soon.
