Bradley Johnson admitted Norwich are "in a great position now" after he scored another stunner in the 2-0 East Anglian derby victory over Ipswich at Carrow Road.

Johnson followed up his thunderbolt in Tuesday's 2-1 victory at Blackburn with a screamer into the top corner before Lewis Grabban added a second.

It was a sixth successive win for the Canaries and moved them into third place in the Sky Bet Championship, three points behind leaders Derby.

Johnson, who now has 10 goals for the season, told Norwich City TV: "It will be a great season if we get promoted at the end and if my goals help us get there. The aim throughout the team is to get promoted and we're in a great position now.

"We went on a bad run of form earlier in the season but this is the business end now. We know we've got a good run of games; if we work hard as a team our talent will shine through but we can't take our foot off the gas.

"Wednesday [against Wigan] is going to be an even harder game for us. We've beaten our local rivals, and that one was for the fans, but we're taking it game by game.

"We're not looking at the table; we're looking at our last 12 games and seeing how many points we can pick up. It's realistic we can finish in the top two but we've got to put in the same shift that we did [against Ipswich]."
