Crawley defender Joe Walsh has joined League One rivals MK Dons on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has agreed a temporary switch with a view to making the move permanent in the summer, when he will be out of contract. Dons boss Karl Robinson told the club website: "We've known about Joe for a while and I was made up when I found out we could get it done. "He's out of contract in the summer but we've been given the chance to get him on loan immediately. He will provide great cover at both left-back and in the centre. "He's only 22, he trains with the Welsh national team and he's been in the squad a few times. He also won young player of the year at Crawley Town twice in a row and the main player of the year award last season." Walsh joined Crawley in August 2012 and made 110 appearances, scoring eight goals.
