DU students stage street plays for Spectrum fest held in Delhi
After two days of fashion-related activities, NIFT students got a dose of nukkadnaataks by the students of Delhi University, during their fest, Spectrum, which was presented by The Times of India.
Street plays on themes like corruption, religious intolerance and gender bias were performed by the theatre societies of several DU colleges. The highlight of the fest were energetic dance performances by the choreography societies from DU.
As a part of the food eating contest, the students tried to eat as much as they could from food packets hanging on a string, without using their hands. They also flaunted their knowledge of Bollywood in the film quiz held at the fest. Akanksha, a student from NIFT, told us, “Gargi and Kamala Nehru College are pretty close to our campus, but we still don't get to hang out a lot with students from DU.These two days have been fun because not only did we get to see how creative these guys are, we also made friends with many of them.“ The festival came to a close with a DJ night.
