Cement scrips UltraTech Cement and Grasim Industries were the top gainers on the NSE on Monday. At 2.55 pm UltraTech Cement was trading at Rs 3,349.90, up 6.83 per cent on its Saturday close at Rs 3,135.75.
Grasim Industries gained 6.30 per cent to trade at Rs 3,989.75. The share had closed last week at Rs 3,753.45.
Axis Bank continued to hold firm, trading up 4.95 per cent at Rs 642.90 as against Rs 612.60 at close on Saturday.
IDFC rode up 4.68 per cent at Rs 181.35 as against Rs 173.25 at close in the previous session.
BPCL flared up 4.30 per cent at Rs 778.25 as against Rs 746.20 at close on Saturday.
