A Loveland man is in the hospital after being struck by a car while jogging Saturday morning.

Ryan Priddy, 32, was jogging in the bike lane in the 3400 block of West 43rd Street around 7:30 a.m. Marshall Warren, 19, drifted into the bike lane in his Volvo sedan, striking Priddy from behind.

“Due to the seriousness of the accident, the Technical Crash Investigation Team took over as the primary investigators,” Police Sgt. Jameson Gartner said in a press release. “Speed, alcohol or drug impairment are not considered a contributing factor to the crash.”

According to the release, traffic was diverted from the eastbound lane of West 43rd Street for approximately two hours while the Technical Crash Investigation Team completed the on-scene investigation.
