‘Will rework skywalk proposal’

February 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Bengaluru:

Upa Lokayukta B.S. Majage visited the spot on Friday. He said National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was holding up the proposed skywalk at the junction. BBMP commissioner M. Lakshminarayan promised to re-work the proposal, maybe with BBMP and NHAI sharing the expenses.

However, one of the residents in the area questioned the BBMP’s sincerity. “The civic agency could have spent money from its coffers to put up a skywalk or a subway since this junction is not conducive for surface crossing. It is sad that they woke up to the issue only after two young lives were lost.”
