‘Tap aquaculture potential to full’

Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah on Friday underscored the need of tapping the potential of aquaculture sector to the fullest to spur growth in the State.

The aquaculture industry has generated employment in rural areas and earned the much-needed foreign exchange for the country , he observed after inaugurating the Crystal Seafoods Private Limited which was set up at a cost of Rs. 30 crore in Chirala.

AP accounted for over 60 per cent of the country's aquaculture exports which was put at 10 million tonnes, he said and lauded the unit Chairman and MLA Amanchi Krishnamohan for starting the unit with the processing capacity of 30 tonne of honey.
