MANILA, Philippines–The criminal charges against the widow of Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor and her alleged lover in connection with the killing of the international race car driver will be heard in separate courts in Quezon City.

The murder case against businessman Domingo “Sandy” de Guzman III was raffled off to Quezon City Regional Trial Court-Branch 85 under Acting Presiding Judge Luisito Cortez. It is the same sala hearing the murder case against the alleged gunman, PO2 Edgar Angel, who was arrested two months after the June 12, 2014, ambush.

The parricide case against Pastor’s widow, Dalia, went to Branch 91 under Judge Lita Tolentino-Genilo.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday found probable cause to indict Dalia and De Guzman for allegedly plotting the attack that killed Pastor at a Quezon City intersection.

De Guzman, who was entrapped by the police with the help of Angel, was arrested in August and was initially charged with illegal possession of firearms. He was able to post bail later for that case.

Dalia remains at large and has never appeared at the DOJ for the preliminary investigation of the parricide complaint. Reports emerged in September last year that she had left the country.

Parricide and murder are nonbailable.
