Shashank and Chandani tie the knot in Kanpur

The wedding of Shashank and Chandani was one lavish affair. The groom’s parents Rajesh and Anupama Gupta played perfect hosts as the couple made a grand entry on a Victorian chariot decked up in flowers to the beats of drums played by Russian performers.
“This is something really new. This is for the first time that I am seeing Russian drummers playing Punjabi beats on LED dhols,” said Shashank’s cousins Kaustubh.
The who’s who of the city made an appearance at the wedding. We spotted jeweller Raghvendra and Anupama Seth chatting with the Guptas. Later, real estate developer Vishwanath Gupta also joined them along with wife Indu. Om Prakash Dalmia was seen busy chatting with close friend RK Sarraf.
The wedding was also one of its kind in the entertainment provided to the guests. Russian violinists played soulful music at the do while a dance troupe from Delhi danced on popular Hindi numbers.
Also spotted at the party were Atul, Rachana, Jagruti and Keertika.
