Rape & blackmailing MMS: Youth booked

INDORE: A 25-year-old youth has been booked for allegedly raping and blackmailing a college girl after making her obscene video in Sanawad in Khargone district on Thursday.
The matter came to light when the 20-year-old victim, a BCom student from Sanawad, narrated her ordeal to parents and a complaint was lodged with Sanawad police. The accused, Vikrant Saxena, who hails from Omkareshwar has been booked and the case has been handed over to Palasia police on Thursday.
Police said that the accused is the collegemate of the victim. On July 1, 2014 Vikrant convinced the victim to meet him at Geeta Bhawan hostel, where she stayed. Finding the victim alone, the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her and made her obscene video clips.
He threatened the girl to make the video public if she disclosed the incident to anyone. On the basis of the video, he blackmailed the girl and repeatedly raped her.
“To win over her confidence, the accused also promised to marry the girl,” said the police. He continued his relationship with the victim till December 12, 2014 until the victim returned to her home in Sanawad. After returning to her home town, the girl went into depression, which became a cause of worry for her parents. Noticing her deteriorating health, the victim’s parents asked her about the cause of her depression and living reclusive life. Unable to bear the trauma of sexual exploitation, the girl narrated her plight.
Palasia police station in charge, Shivpal Singh Kushwah said that the accused is yet to be arrested. We have received the case diary from Sanawad police. Further investigations will be carried out in the case. The accused has been booked under sections 366 and 376 of IPC.
