February 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:34 am IST - Bengaluru:

The ICSE examination began with the Hindi paper on Thursday.

Students like Javeriya Anjum said the paper was “easy” and “simpler” than expected.

“We were extremely tense as it was our first board exam. But the paper was very simple as we had attempted several preparatory examinations.”

Rekha Mathew, a Hindi teacher, said that most students had told her the paper was simple and that they were able to complete them well within the stipulated time.

The next exam is the English language paper on Friday. The ICSE exam will end with the Economics paper on March 30.

The ISC (class 12) exam began on February 9 and will end on April 1.
