JAIPUR: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Thursday termed the rail budget as a step towards developing "atulya Bharat" through "atulya rail". She said that instead of populist and lengthy budget, railway minister Suresh Prabhu was focused about infrastructure and safety in the railway sector.
"An increase of 26% for improving safety around the rail network is a welcome move.
It shows NDA government's commitment to the promises it made to the aam admi," she said. She said that rail overbridge and unmanned crossings were major reasons behind human fatalities and addressing them was long due. She also said that the proposed budget will also help railways become self sustaining.
