Jeweller robbed on way back home

LUCKNOW: A city-based jeweller was looted in Kakori by three miscreants on a bike on Thursday evening. Jewellery shop owner Sanjay Yadav was returning home in Chowk when three men intercepted him and ran their bike into Sanjay’s, causing him to fall. The miscreants decamped with his bag containing cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
The miscreants were reportedly following Sanjay since he left his showroom and were that his bag contained jewellery.Sanjay, received minor injuries and filed a case with police.
Last month, another jeweller Mamta Agarwal was shot dead by a history-sheeter along with two other men late night while she was returning home from her shop in Aashiana. Her struggle with the men who tried to snatch the bag containing jewellery cost Mamta her life. Data reveals at least 47 cases of loot were reported in the city last year.
