Motorola will soon launch its second generation of Moto E smartphone in India. The brand which is now owned by Lenovo, will launch two variants of the new Moto E- 4G LTE and 3G version. The new Moto E (2nd gen) 3G variant will be soon launched on Flipkart.com at a price of Rs 6,999. The price of the 4G version is $149.99, but there is no information on the launch of the 4G variant in India.
Lenovo will have to carefully price the 4G verison in India to avoid cannibalization of the sales of its A6000 smartphone which is priced at Rs 6,999.
In the new Moto E 3G version, the 5MP rear camera now has auto-focusing but doesn’t come with flash. It also comes with a VGA front-facing camera for taking selfies. The device sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels diplay with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, it runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB. It is powered by a bigger 2,390 mAh battery. The 4G variant will run on a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit CPU.
