A good reason to celebrate UV specialist Hönle provides its 7,500th UV curing unit for the ink- jet market: a good time for a short summary.
During the last years no other printing sector has been developing as rapidly as the inkjet market - and not without reason: inkjet printing is fast, individual, efficient and leads to unique printing products. As the inkjet printing does not require a strong copy (printing plate) it is possible to produce personalized printing or very small editions economically.
This applies to narrow web as well as to XXL applications, for labels as well as for posters for building facades. Moreover, it is possible to print on diverse materials, such as PVC, canvas, synthetics, aluminium or even wood or glass: the application fields are manifold and still increasing.
Prerequisite for a high-quality printing product is a fast and reliable cu- ring of inks and varnishes. For almost 15 years, manufacturers of inkjet printing machines have been relying on UV technology, as much as no other printing sector. And from the very beginning, UV expert Hönle has been developing and producing customized curing devices for inkjet applications.

units which are applied for final curing but also for pinning. At developing curing devices for large-format inkjet printing Hönle has even been world market leader for years. Since only recently, 7,500 UV units by Hönle
are applied on inkjet printing machines throughout the world, with rising tendency. Their close cooperation with customers leads to always new curing solutions, always tailor-made and often ground breaking.
Thus, over the years, Hönle has been developing a multitude of products and product variants. Today the UV specialist offers UV devices with arc lengths from 100 to 1.300 mm, basing upon UV or UV-LED technology, with integrated or external cooling and always perfectly fitting for the particular printing application. There is only one thing Hönle products have in common: they all are robust, easy to maintain and user-friendly.
