Workshop on Karnad's plays at SAC

MANGALURU: Department of English, St Aloysius College, will organize a unique inter-collegiate interactive workshop on Jnanpith awardee Girish Karnad's plays with special reference to The Fire and the Rain on Saturday in the college Teletorium.
The event is a platform for students of English literature from colleges of Mangalore University area to exchange views and research papers on Girish Karnad's plays.
A comprehensive quiz on the life and works of Karnad and a poster designing competition also will be held as part of this workshop.
Ravishankar Rao from the department of English, Mangalore University, will inaugurate the workshop and deliver the keynote address. College principal Rev Fr Swebert D'Silva will preside over the function. Prasad Rao, research scholar from Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, will be the moderator of the paper presentation competition. Participants and winners of the competitions will be awarded attractive prizes and certificates.
