Gangster Abu Salem is being taken to jail after a Mumbai court sentenced him to life imprisonment in Pradeep Jain murder case on Wednesday.

Abu Salem, who has been booked in as many as 54 criminal cases, sees himself as a "handsome hunk irresistible to women", according to the extradited gangster's yet-to-be-released autobiography. The first 15 pages of the book accessed by Mail Today reveal that Salem would never leave any stone unturned to get intimate with girls.

"A lot of girls used to frequent my office. One of them was Nargis. She was very beautiful and was very impressed by me. She loved me a lot, but I had never felt the same for her. Whenever she did not find me in the Andheri office, she would come looking for me to the Akbar Ali office. I was not very inclined towards her advances...," says Salem in the autobiography. Salem's fellow convicts help him write the book.

As per the autobiography, Salem fell in love with a girl who resided in the same building as he did. "One day I came across a girl. She was very beautiful. She knew me as a good and decent boy. She stayed on the ground floor of our building. She had fallen in love with me. Even fate was in the girl's favour. Incidentally those days my workload had reduced. Our meetings and encounters became more frequent."

Although the relationship, according to Salem, was nipped in the bud by his cousin brother, he didn't stop his encounters with girls. He went on to "chase a girl called Femi, a minor then". Femi was the gangster's first wife, according to the autobiography.

While "writing" the book, Salem often let his imaginations run wild, and his "obedient" inmates did not have the temerity to question him, which made him even bolder.

Salem seems to believe that he is one of the biggest dons, who is a do-gooder. He claims that he helped people vacate their properties, settle scores and preside over disputes. He also talks about his his relationship with Dawood Ibrahim in the book.

"I used to visit Dawood and Anees in their office and even they used to come to my office frequently. They would discuss with me their work in Mumbai. I used to use my contacts in Mumbai to get their works done? I used to do their most difficult jobs in Mumbai on time... as a result Dawood bhai started liking me a lot. He liked me so much that when any of his close associates from Mumbai would come to Dubai, he used to send them to my office by assuring them that I would get their jobs done..." says Salem in the autobiography.
