Kim Longinotto’s Dreamcatcher (pictured) and Simon Chinn’s Atari: Game Over are among the documentaries featured in U.S. cable network Showtime’s spring slate.

The doc roster kicks off on March 5 at 7 p.m. EST/PST with That Gal Who Was In That Thing: That Guy 2, which follows eight female actors, their experiences in Hollywood and their struggles with issues such as plastic surgery, racism and aging.

March 19 sees the debut of The Mind of Mark DeFriest, which follows the imprisoned escape artist as he comes up for parole after more than 30 years behind bars. The doc airs at 8:15 p.m. EST/PST.

Meanwhile, Longinotto’s Dreamcatcher will premiere on March 27 at 9 p.m. EST/PST. The doc is a profile of Chicago’s Brenda Myers-Powell and her Dreamcatcher Foundation, which works to end human trafficking and prevent the sexual exploitation of at-risk youth.

April sees the broadcast of Elvis Costello: Mystery Dance, which details the musician’s career, from the influence of his musician father to his own success and subsequent disenchantment with the music business. The film airs on April 10 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

Also premiering in April is Man on Wire producer Simon Chinn’s doc Atari: Game Over, which was discussed last month at the Realscreen Summit in Washington DC. Directed by Zak Penn, the film seeks to uncover the urban legend of Atari’s buried video games, and will debut on April 16 at 8:30 p.m. EST/PST.

Finally, Knock, Knock, It’s Tig Notaro – which follows the comedian on a stand-up tour across the U.S. – is to air on April 17 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.
