In his feeble effort to defend the move of the monti to Ordnance Street, Valletta, Victor Carachi (February 20) states: “There are plenty of cities in Europe where open markets are located near historical places” and then proceeds to mention Annecy.
For good measure, I am sure Carachi could have added other popular European cities with open markets located near historical monuments and/or buildings. I am sure a full-page article deserves such an addition.
If Annecy is a tourist city, I am hopeful to see advertisements of this city in the GWU-owned travel agency brochures for the coming travel season.
