MineSpace and Hexagon Geospatial form partnership

Hexagon Geospatial is partnering with MineSpace in Australia to provide software as a service to the mining industry. Headquartered in Perth, MineSpace provides innovative solutions to the geoscience and mining industry to help gain access to affordable software that they commonly use through pay-as-you-go options. Imagery processing forms the backbone of the geoscience industry – especially in the fields of exploration geology and mining – where functions such as interpolation, colour stretches, and batch processing are necessary. MineSpace recognised the need for a software that has been proven popular in Australia before, and thereby zeroed in on ERDAS IMAGINE® and ERDAS ER Mapper.

Using its infrastructure, MineSpace will be offering Hexagon Geospatial software through a Software as a Service, enabling more people to make use of the cutting edge technology. The portal is set to launch on March 3, 2015.

“It’s an exciting new frontier for software delivery and geoscience and data management in Australia,” said Adrian Large, Co-Founder and Director of MineSpace. “Hexagon Geospatial is an obvious choice with its geospatial abilities, and even more importantly its power to provide imagery at a standard high enough for the mining industry.  We look forward to growing our partnership with Hexagon Geospatial, and expanding the use of other Hexagon products during our growth.”

“We are excited about our partnership with MineSpace in Australia,” said Grace Micallef, Executive Director for Asia Pacific at Hexagon Geospatial. “MineSpace is all set to pitch Hexagon Geospatial’s cutting edge technology solutions to the mining industry. They are aligned to the market trend of deploying solutions through flexible software-as-a-service offerings, and extending itself from a service provider to a solution provider.”
