Private candidates who wish to apply for the March 2015 SSLC exams under the tatkal scheme can register their applications online on Wednesday and Thursday.
The candidates have to apply only through the designated government examination service centres by appearing in person. The list of the service centres, education district-wise, was available in the website www.tndge.in and at the offices of the Chief Educational Officers, District Educational Officers, and the Deputy Director of Government Examinations, R. Veerakumar, Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations (in-charge), Tiruchi, said in a press release.
Only those who had participated in the science practical classes can appear for the theory exam.
Candidates who have undergone the practical classes but have not applied for the theory papers can now apply through the tatkal scheme. Certificates for having participated in the practical classes from the school heads concerned should be submitted along with the application.
Candidates should pay an examination fee of Rs.625, including Rs.500 as tatkal fee, and Rs.50 as registration fee. The fees should be paid in cash at the service centres.
Candidates who had already appeared and failed in the SSLC exam should submit self-attested copies of the old marksheets.
Those appearing for the first time, should submit the original certificate for having passes standard VIII.
Examination centres for private candidates applying through the tatkal scheme would be established only Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Cudalore, Vellore and Chennai, the release added.
