‘NPCIL misleading people on N-plant’

CITU Mumbai Shramik Sangh president and noted anti-nuclear power plant activist Vivek Monteiro on Tuesday said they would take up various programmes to create awareness among fishermen and farmers of North Andhra on the adverse impact of Kovvada Nuclear Power Park project.

He told reporters along with CPI (M) State secretariat member Ch. Narsinga Rao that the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), the project proponent was trying to mislead the public by stating that Generation-III reactors were designed with most advanced safety mechanism.
