Senior artistes guided me, says Koragappa Shetty

Aruva Korgappa Shetty, veteran Yakshagana artiste, said on Sunday that he had learnt a lot about the techniques, style and inner core of the art form of Yakshagana from senior artistes. He was speaking after receiving the Malpe Ramdas Samaga Memorial Award at the valedictory of the three-day Malpe Ramdas Samaga Memorial Tulu Yakshagana Festival here on Sunday. Mr. Shetty was presented with a shawl, citation and cash prize of Rs. 10,000. His citation was in Tulu language in cantatory style of the “paddadanas.”
