Spicejet has kicked off celebrations by unveiling yet another sale of tickets priced at Rs 1,699 – discount offer is applicable on 100,000 seats. While the company says flying with empty seats is ‘criminal’, the latest ticket sale comes Tuesday, the day former promoter Ajay Singh took full control of the troubled airline from DMK political party-linked Kalanithi and Kaveri Maran.

SpiceJet, which touts having made flying affordable for more Indians than ever before, today announced the launch of the ‘Colour the skies’ sale in celebration of Holi with airfares.
Under this Spicejet offer, tickets on routes like Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Delhi to Dehradun, Guwahati to Kolkata, Ahmedabad to Mumbai, and Bangalore to Hyderabad all are priced at Rs 1699 all-in. International flights start as low as Rs 3,799 all-in for Delhi to Kathmandu, with discounted fares available on most other international routes too. A total of 1,00,000 seats are available on sale.

Bookings under this latest offer are open now and will close at midnight on February 26. The travel period covered in this sale is from March 01 till April 20, 2015. The sale offer is applicable on all direct and onward flights on SpiceJet’s domestic and international network.

Inventory under the offer is limited, says Spicejet, and it will be available on first-come-first-served basis and is not applicable on group bookings. Fares vary from sector to sector depending on the travel distance, and flight schedules and timings are subject to regulatory approvals and change, it added.

SpiceJet recently announced a new enhanced schedule with improved metro connectivity, day return options, non-metro connections and better timings. The network and schedule will be further expanded in its summer schedule starting March 29, 2015.
