SBI Chief General Manager C.R. Sasikumar on Monday said they would accord top priority to allocation of funds under Corporate Social Responsibility to education and health care projects.

After handing over an ambulance under CSR to Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, he said besides serving customers in various ways, the bank had spent about Rs. 8 in the previous fiscal and about Rs 6 crore so far during the current fiscal under CSR.

Earlier, he inaugurated the Balayya Sastry Layout branch, the 75th in the city. The unique feature of the branch was that the entry into the Banking Hall was through an e-lobby which housed a cash deposit machine, ATM and a passbook printing machine.

Customers could have all their routine transactions completed in the e-lobby itself. Certain specific requirements viz., housing loans, education loans and fixed deposits need interaction with branch. The e-Corner opened on the branch premises would function 24x7. The bank would be opening several such e-Corners.

Later, Mr. Sasikumar inaugurated the new premises of specialised SME branch on the first floor of SBI Dwarakanagar branch. SBI DGM K.N. Nayak, Regional Manager (Region-V) K.N. Prasad and others were present.
