20-member NAAC team visits BHU

A 20-member team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) led by Madras university’s ex vice-chancellor, Dr SP Tyagrajan visited the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to oversee infrastructure and facilities on Monday.

Varanasi: A 20-member team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) led by Madras university’s ex vice-chancellor, Dr SP Tyagrajan visited the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to oversee infrastructure and facilities on Monday.
The vice-chancellor of BHU, Prof Girish Chandra Tripathi displayed power point presentations showcasing the developments made by the university as well as its future development plans.
Tripathi also revealed that the work of introduction of choice based credit system is underway. Prof. SCS Rathore of Internal Quality Assurance Cell also displayed a power point presentation comprising of the research works done by the university at national and international level.
Later, the team inspected various departments of central office, central library, manuscripts, periodical sections and cyber library. The team formed six groups and dispersed at various departments of varsity to evaluate and inspect.
It may be mentioned here that the team is on a four-day visit and will leave on February 26. During their visit, the team would interact with students and teachers of the university.
