Exam stress claims girl's life

LUDHIANA: Allegedly failing to cope up with examination stress, a class XII student committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Anadpura Muhalla of Basti Jodhewal on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Disha, 18, of Anandpura.
Police said Disha was weak in studies and was unable to take the exam stress.
She had gone to her room in the morning to study but later when parents knocked at her door, she didn't come out.Later they found the body of their daughter hanging with the ceiling fan in the room.
Surinderpal, father of Disha, told police that his daughter was weak in studies so she may have taken the extreme step because of examination stress.
Police shifted the body of the deceased to civil hospital for autopsy. Jodhewal police has meanwhile initiated investigations into the matter.
