Being made fun of is nothing new to me
The last time Namitha Pramod was in the news was for a blooper on a TV show hosted by Suresh Gopi. But a totally nonchalant Namitha says that she laughed off the entire incident right away. “It is only when you are doing good that something like this becomes news, I look at it that way; and anyway it was only for a little stupidity that I was picked up, not for anything else, right?” she laughs.
Even otherwise, being made fun of is nothing new to her, as her friends do it all the time, she adds. “My friends are always telling me that if the public don’t make fun of me, they will. I am the butt of jokes at every family gathering, so I am pretty thick -skinned.” Interestingly, Suresh
Gopi himself told her not to be bothered too much about the incident.
Meanwhile, the actress is currently shooting for the film Chandrettan Evideya, where she plays a classical dancer named Geethanjali. The film will be her third project with Dileep, after Sound Thoma and Villali Veeran. “It is a family entertainer with comic elements, but it’s not a comedy,” she says. She has a line-up of interesting films coming up in Malayalam including an offbeat movie, and will announce them soon, Namitha signs off.
