With a woman having died of swine flu, the death toll due to swine flu has now risen to three in Uttarakhand.
The woman was from Devprayag and died in a hospital in Dehradun, on Saturday. Two persons — a woman from Roorkee and a man from Dehradun — are the other two who died of swine flu.
Fourteen cases of swine flu were reported from Uttarakhand, and three persons had succumbed to it till Saturday, Director General Health G.S. Joshi said.
“There were 114 suspected cases of swine flu, and reports of 64 of these have been received from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),” Dr. Joshi said, adding that 14 of the 64 people had swine flu.
The affected patients were receiving treatment at various hospitals across the State, Dr. Joshi said.
“We have received 1,000 tablets from the Central government. However, we have requested the Centre to provide us 2,000 more tablets,” he said.
