Illicit liquor unit unearthed, 3 held

VARANASI: An illicit hooch manufacturing unit was unearthed at a poultry farm in Jalalpur Mahabalpatti area of Azamgarh on Saturday. Three people were arrested and huge quantity of illicit liquor recovered from the spot.
Kaptanganj police raided the poultry farm and arrested its owner Krishna Singh alias Chunmun, Bablu of Chiraiyyakot and Sonu Keshri of Mau district from there.
The hooch manufactured in the unit was supplied to many districts of east UP, including Mau, Ballia, Jaunpur and Deoria. Involvement of excise department staff in the racket is suspected.
Youth murdered: The body of youth, identified as Afroz, was found lying at railway track near Sirsal village in Rani Ki Sarai area of Azamgarh district on Saturday morning.
Afroz of Sirsal village used to work in Mumbai. He had returned home three days back. On Friday evening, Afroz had left home with his cousin brother but did not return at night. The killers had murdered him with knives and dumped the body at railway tracks to give it a colour of suicide. But no train passed through the track. His cousin was taken under custody for interrogation.
