1 killed, one injured in Muzaffarnagar road mishap

Police jeep collided with truck on Muzaffarnagar Shahpur Roar near Sanjak village in the district.

One person was killed and a police driver injured when the police jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Muzaffarnagar Shahpur Roar near Sanjak village in the district.

The incident took place on Saturday evening when the jeep was on its way to Shahdabber village from Muzaffarnagar, police said.

The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Deepak, police said, adding that driver Madan Singh was injured in the incident and shifted to hospital.

Deepak, a mechanic, was accompanying the policemen for repairing a vehicle provided to Union Minister Sanjiv Baliyan.
