‘Don’t pay heed to demand for Dalit CM’

Minister for Textiles Baburao Chinchansur has said that not much importance should be attached to the demand by Dalit leaders to appoint a Dalit as the Chief Minister of the State.

Talking to presspersons in Yadgir on Friday, Mr. Chinchansur said that when Siddaramaiah was effectively functioning as Chief Minister, implementing pro-people programmes, there was no need for anybody else to replace him. “Mr. Siddaramaiah would be the Chief Minister for the full five-year term,” Mr. Chinchansur said.
