Burglars struck at Ajay Chimalwar’s residence and made away with cash and gold ornaments worth Rs1.87 lakh on Thursday night. Chimalwar had gone to hospital. When he returned, he found his home his KTPS quarters burgled with Rs7000 with other valuables stolen. He has reported the matter to Koradi police station where a case has been registered.
Married woman molested
Khushal Pardhi (28) has been booked for allegedly misbehaving and threatening a married woman at Nandanvan on Friday afternoon.
Pardhi, a resident of Chandan Shesh Nagar, gained entry into the victim’s residence and misbehaved with her. When she resisted, he threatened to kill both her daughters. On the woman’s complaint, Nandanvan police have registered a case against Pardhi.
Cash, cell phone stolen from car
Cash, cell phone, pan card and other documents worth Rs40,000 were stolen from a car parked near Liberty Square, Sadar, on Friday afternoon. Complainant Mithila Vasankar, 32, a Laxmi Nagar resident, told cops that the theft took place when she had gone to meet a lawyer at his office nearby.
The incident took place within half-an-hour. When Vasankar returned around 3.30pm, she found the car’s window smashed and the purse containing the cash, cell phone and other documents missing.

She immediately reported the matter at Sadar police station. Police said the empty stolen purse was found at a few distance away.
Man duped of Rs2.57 lakh
Gittikhadan police booked two people for allegedly duping Kishore Gaur (54), a resident of Ashirwad Nagar, Godhni, of Rs2.57lakh.
Gaur claimed, in his police complaint, that he read about need for space to set up a mobile tower in a newspaper advertisement on January 27. He contacted Vikram Singh and Nirajkumar as mentioned in the advertisement.
On the pretext of paying high rent, the accused duo asked Gaur to deposit money in different bank accounts. Gaur claimed he had deposited Rs2.57 lakh as asked by the accused. Finally, he reported the matter to Gittikhadan police after learning about the fraud on Friday.
69-yr-old woman robbed of gold worth Rs69k
Tricksters duped an elderly woman of her gold ornaments worth Rs30,000 at Gajanan Square, Sakkardara, on Friday afternoon. Pratibha Munde, 69, was walking to her home at Om Nagar from a bank at Sakkardara when two youths informed her that a rich man is donating cash to elderly people.
The duo asked Munde to keep her gold ornaments in her purse before going there. Under the pretext of helping her, the duo sneaked away with the ornaments. Sakkardara police have registered a case.
