‘Shivaji’s battlefield techniques relevant today’

BICHOLIM: Eminent historian and author Durgesh Parulkar stated that battlefield techniques of Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj can still be used to overcome difficulties faced by our soldiers on the borders. Parulkar was addressing a gathering on the occasion of Shiva jayanti organized by Bhatgaram Mahotsav samiti at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj maidan, Bicholim, on February 19.
IGP Sunil Garg, Girish Yadav, MLA Naresh Sawal, BMC chairperson Karuna Govekar, deputy Riaz Beg, councillors Narayan Betkikar, Ajit Birje, Shashikant Halarnkar, former councillor Bhagwan Harmalkar, Prashant Dhargalkar and Naresh Kadkade were present on the dais.IGP Sunil Garg said that the role of the public is very important to stop crimes. He inaugurated an exhibition of arms and ammunition used during Chhatrapati Shivaji’s time. MLA Sawal delivered the introductory address. The function was compered by Fati Baikar while Prashant Dhargalkar proposed the vote of thanks.
