Ex-BJP minister, Congress leader register cases against each other

Counter cases have been registered against former BJP minister Kamal Patel, his two sons and others and also against a Congress leader and his supporters for alleged violence during ongoing Panchayat polls in the district, police said today.

Harda: Counter cases have been registered against former BJP minister Kamal Patel, his two sons and others and also against a Congress leader and his supporters for alleged violence during ongoing Panchayat polls in the district, police said today.

The case against the ex-minister and his two sons, Sandeep and Sudeep were registered last night at Harda police station allegedly for firing on opponents and damaging their vehicles in ward No. 6 from where they were returning after campaigning for his daugther-in-law, on the complaint of a Congress leader, said Harda SP, Prembabu Sharma.

However, on the complaint of BJP leader, cases were also registered against Congress leader Ramvilas Patel, his son and others at Cheepawad police station for allegedly launching a murderous assault on the former minister and causing damage to his vehicles, the SP said.

The BJP and Congress leaders staged protest along with their large number of supporters at Chipawad and Harda police stations demanding registration of cases against each other after which police registered cases against the at the two police stations.
