Actor Vasant Damle passes away

Vasant Vishnupant Damle, who played the role of Tukaram���s son Mahadu in the original biopic on the saint���s life made by Prabhat films decades ago, passed away on Friday morning.
The 87-year-old Damle, who was ill for quite sometime had worked as a child artiste in many films made by Prabhat films, other than 'Tukaram' and he had won many awards too.
His father Vishnupant Damle made sure that Vasant completed his engineering degree and joined Air India, from where he retired as the chief ground officer.
