Shutdown over DWO death in Rayagada near Bhubaneswar

KORAPUT: The CB on Friday started investigation into alleged suicide of district welfare officer (DWO) Dhaneswar Prusty in Rayagada, even as state BJP president K V Singhdeo sought CBI probe into it.
A three-member CB team visited the office room, where Prusty was found hanging on Tuesday, and his quarters.
Life was thrown out of gear in Rayagada due to a bandh called by Congress, demanding arrest of collector Sashi Bhusan Padhi and PA, ITDA, Gorachand Gomango as the deceased named them in a suicide note.While vehicular movement came to a standstill, shops remained shut.
