If it can happen to the mighty Rajinikanth, it can happen to anyone. The recent news of Tamil distributors threatening a mass begging rally outside Rajini's home to demand refunds after his new film Lingaa (pic below) tanked is sending shockwaves beyond just his domain.

The rumour vine has it a few Bollywood superstars are worried. They are psyched out the idea could rub off on distributors of Hindi cinema in India and abroad. The flop rate in Bollywood is high and losses sustained are higher than down South. Plus, most top Hindi heroes produce their own films lately.

All of it doesn't exactly make Rajini's plight sound like sweet music to the Bollywood babas. For the record, Lingaa producers have claimed the film has grossed Rs.148 crore. Distributors in almost all zones have however suffered losses. some to the tune of Rs. 35 crore.
