Purefoods Star import pinagmulta ng P250,000
DAHIL sa kanyang kadaldalan, pinagmulta si Purefoods Star Hotshots import Daniel Orton ng Philippine Basketball Association kahapon.
Pinagbabayad ng PBA si Orton ng P250,000 matapos itong magbigay ng negatibong komento patungkol sa mga referees at kay Kia playing-coach Manny Pacquiao.
Ang pagpataw ng multa kay Orton ay iniutos ni PBA Commissioner Chito Salud.
Sa isang kalatas, sinabi ni Salud na “Orton issued comments that are disparaging, disrespectful of and offensive to his host league.”
Sinabi umano ni Orton na isang kalokohan ang pagsali ni Pacquiao sa PBA at isang kahihiyan umano sa mga game officials ito.
“This insulting behavior will never be condoned by this league,” ayon pa kay Salud.
