UDHAMPUR, Feb 20: K.V. No.1 Udhampur celebrated Baden Powell Day as World Thinking Day, here today.
The occasion was very special for the School and the Principal, Dr R Prasad was the chief guest on the occasion.
The chief guest along with other dignitaries were welcomed by presenting bouquet on the occasion and the Bulbuls sang Tihu-Tihu song.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp.
Dr. R. Prasad,Mr Vikramaditya, Sanjay Kohli and Sanjay Purohit were among the members who were present on the occasion , while Gurnaam Chand, Lakhbir Singh and Ravikant presented scarfs to all of them.
The whole day was filled with fun and frolic. Numerous cultural activities took place throughout the day that included Sab Jan Aaye Aangan Mein welcome song, Wo Kisna Hai and Vande Matram group dances and Aditya from VIII E also presented a magic show on this occasion. In addition to this Ujjwal from class X A presented a speech on world thinking day. Street play based on Swacchta Abhiyaan, Kukad-kukad folk song, Ajgar dance and Punjabi dances were among the cultural items presented on the day camp. The chief guest applauded the school’s cultural team to present such a nice show.
Neeta Moten, Shailja Bhat, Sukhwinder Bali, Shweta, P. K. Shukla, Namitha, Mamta Sharma, Roop Rani, Niharika, Garima, Farah, Manju and Chanchal helped to make the camp successful.
